Installation & Troubleshooting
Installing the Jetball Adapter:
In Your Sherpa Pen
Simply remove the existing grip section from your Sherpa Classic, Classic Contemporary, or Balance pen. Then insert the Jetball Adapter and twist it into place—no tools or fuss required.
Using an Ink Cartridge
Gently insert the cartridge into the back of the Jetball Adapter until you feel it click into place. Give the ink 15–20 seconds to saturate the rollerball tip. For best results, let it sit upright overnight if the ink doesn’t flow right away.
Using a Converter
Fill the included converter with your favorite ink before installation. While you *can* draw ink up through the tip, we recommend pre-filling the converter to avoid potential airlocks or flow issues.
Troubleshooting Tips:
Slow Ink Flow
If the ink is flowing but faint, press the tip onto a tissue placed on a hard surface for several seconds to prime it. Once the ink is flowing smoothly, reinsert the cartridge or converter to prevent leaks.
No Ink Flow
If no ink reaches the tip on first use, allow the filled adapter to sit overnight. If the adapter was previously used and has dried out, soak it in lukewarm water for 1–2 hours. Then use the converter to flush water through the tip: fill the converter with clean water, install it, and twist the piston backward to push water through.
